Obituary

Adam Carl Jacobson, age 43, of Island Park, Idaho died Friday, January 25, 2019 from accidental exposure to cold temperatures. Adam was born on February 28, 1975, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Pastor Curtis and Sandra Jacobson, now of Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Adam was a man of passion. He grew up in Thief River Falls enjoying his family, classmates, football and swimming. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1993. After High School Adam attended Northland Community College for Architectural Drafting. He was a respected partner and co-owner of Jacobson Concrete & Sales with his father, Curtis. He and his family moved to Island Park Idaho in 2012 where he was employed as a Test Driver for Arctic Cat Mountain Team and continued with Jacobson Concrete.

He absolutely loved his three children, family, and friends. He had a passion for sports, hunting, riding snowmobiles in the highest of mountains, drumming, music, and being a friend. For many years, he was an active member of the Community Church as a builder, architect, drummer, and youth leader. His greatest passion was taking his friends to his favorite places in the mountains of Idaho and Montana. He was married to Nicole "Nikki" Tvedt in 2003. To that union three beautiful children were born, Roman (14), Jewel (12), and Porter (11).

Adam is survived by his 3 children, Roman, Jewel, and Porter Jacobson of Island Park Idaho, and their mother Nikki Jacobson. His parents Curtis and Sandra Jacobson; a sister, Jennifer Manning her husband, Chad Manning and their children Storm, Jack, Brody, Beau; brother Jacob Jacobson and son Jayden; grandmother Donna Larson, numerous cousins and aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabel & Milo Hassel, Carl Jacobson, Richard Larson; an aunt Marion Larson; an uncle, Leland Larson; and infant cousins, Allan and Leah Jacobson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Adam's honor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Community Church International, 17042 160th Ave NE, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. For more information you can contact Jake, Adam's father, at 218-686-4669.

A Memorial Snowmobile Ride will be held in Adam's honor on March 9th, 2019 in Island Park Idaho. Family and Friends are to gather at 11 am in the Sheridan Creek Parking Lot West of Island Park down Yale-Kilgore Road. The ride will begin at noon.
