Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Hibbert, 65, of Ashton, died April 27, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 2, 1958, in Ashton, to John Nield and Helen Holbrook Hibbert.  She was raised in Marysville and attended schools in Ashton.  She graduated from North Fremont High School in 1976.  She then attended Ricks College where she earned two Associate Degrees, one in General Education and the other in Computer Information Systems.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served a mission for the church in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission from 1987 to 1988.

She worked at City Drug in Ashton for several years.  She worked as a soda jerk and as a pharmacy technician.  She enjoyed her interactions with the customers and the people she worked with.

Bobbie was a ham radio operator and spent hours talking on her radio.  She was interested in astronomy, meteorology, and electronics.  She enjoyed composing poetry and had one of her poems published.

She was a charter member of the Shakespeare Club in Ashton and was very knowledgeable about Shakespeare.  She was a volunteer at the North Fremont Food Pantry and served there for many years.

Bobbie had great neighbors and friends who were there to give her rides, mow her lawn, shovel her snow, and generally keep track of her.  She will be missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Nield Hibbert, and her step-father, Pete Chamberlain.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the Ashton 3rd Ward Chapel, with Bishop Alan O. Baum officiating.  There will be a gathering of friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.  Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
