Bradley
Bolland
Sep 24, 1958 — Feb 2, 2024
Bradley Steven Bolland, 65, died unexpectedly February 2, 2024, at his home near Parker Idaho due to complications related to lung cancer. He was born September 24, 1958, in Idaho Falls Idaho to biological parents Robert Steven Ahrendt and Ina Kay Bolland. As a youth, he and his brother were officially adopted by his mother's second husband, Henry Ernest Bolland.
He grew up and attended schools in Parker and Saint Anthony, Idaho. He was a graduate of South Fremont High School Class of 1976. In one of his notable achievements, Brad won a prestigious troubleshooting contest as an underclassman. Contestants from all over were given a tough mechanical problem, and Brad was the first and only one to solve it. He was invited to join the Honor Society because of his academic excellence. He was a talented musician, playing first chair trumpet in high school band and orchestra.
Brad was a skilled carpenter and helped build or remodel many multi-million dollar homes. He made keepsake furniture for his loved ones, carving intricate personalized details into each piece. Brad was also a talented mechanic, reviving many machines that others deemed irreparable, including his father's old 1956 Chevy pickup.
Brad loved the outdoors and his hobbies reflected that love. He was an accomplished skier, excelling in both downhill and cross-country. He loved to take photographs of the beauty of Idaho, especially focusing on the beauty of Parker. Brad was also an avid golfer. If he wasn't home, loved ones knew they could find him on a golf-course somewhere.
He is preceded in death by his biological father Robert Ahrendt, his adoptive father Henry ("Bud") Bolland, and sons Jerry Robert Bolland and Lee Scott Bolland. He is survived by his mother Ina Kay (Johnson) Bolland, his brother Kevin Jay Bolland, his sisters Kathy (Ben) Ashley and Lori (Eric) Embree, his son Steven Curtis Bolland, his daughter Jessica Hitt, and his grandchildren Amelia, Dawna, Brandon, Oakley, Kyrus, Kynan, Trevor, Isaiah, Brendyn, Gibson and Lilian.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 16, at 2:00 pm at the St. Anthony Senior Center, 420 N Bridge St # D, St Anthony, ID 83445.
