Carol Ann Jensen Clark, 83, of Ashton, died July 10, 2019, at her home of natural causes. She was born April 9, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Owen Martin and Edith Viola DeMott Jensen. She attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. After graduating she attended BYU for a time.
She married Ed Clark on May 1, 1957, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Frankfurt, Germany where Ed was stationed in the military. They then moved to Ashton where they farmed and raised their family together.
In 1983, Carol returned to college and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education, graduating from ISU in 1985. She taught school for 17 ½ years at South Fremont Junior High and Ashton Elementary.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. After her retirement from teaching, she and Ed served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints , the first in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission, and the second in the England Leeds Mission.
Carol loved music and was involved with the Harmonettes for over 40 years. She played the organ in church and encouraged her children and grandchildren to learn to play musical instruments.
She loved spending time with and serving her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ed of Ashton; children, David Clark of Ashton, Becky (Russ) Workman of Farmington, Utah, Mike (Michelle) Clark of Glendale, Arizona , Jeannie (Greg) Johnson of Mantua, Utah, Sheri (Gary) Trost of North Salt Lake, Utah, Kristi (Rob) Young of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Kaylie (Blake) Bowman of Ashton; sisters, Gail (Sylvan) Seely of Rexburg, Gwen Lee of Rexburg, Linda (Brent) Eames of Logan, Utah, Ruth Reynolds of Ashton; 31 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 13, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center, 516 North 2nd Street, with Bishop James Nash officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m., both times at the stake center. Interment will be in the Ashton Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
