Carolyn
Bratt
Jun 2, 1947 — Sep 24, 2024
Carolyn Mae Gertsch Bratt passed away on September 24, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Francis Bratt. She had been a widow for twenty-one years. She was survived by a son, Michael Roger Bratt and a daughter, Melissa Bratt Lane and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was born on June 2, 1947, in Salt Lake City to Ray Oscar and Maeda Murri Gertsch of Midway, Utah. She was the third of eight children and grew up in Midway, Utah. She attended Wasatch High School in Heber and graduated from BYU with a nursing degree. She worked as a nurse for several years.
Roger and Carolyn were a very industrious couple. In addition to working a dry farm, Roger was a teacher at the high school and Carolyn drove the school bus. She loved the students, and they loved her.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout her life.
Carolyn was a kind and thoughtful person. She felt that she had lived a full life and was prepared to leave this mortal realm. She had a firm belief that she would be reunited with her loved ones on the other side of the veil.
Carolyn set an example for all of us of what it means to endure to the end of one's mortal life as a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed.
