It is with great sadness that the family of Charley Heskett announces his passing after a brief illness, on Friday, March 20, 2020, at the age of 78 years, at his home in Ashton.
Charley was born February 5, 1942, in Burlington, Colorado to Ralph and Reatha Heskett.
He married Glenda Sallenger on November 4, 1966, in Ashton, Idaho. At the time of their marriage Charley was working as a police officer for the City of Ashton. He also worked as a police officer for the City of St. Anthony. They then moved to Stratton, Nebraska where he served as Chief of Police. After a few years there they moved their family back to Ashton where Charley went to work for Fremont County as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for a period of time for Fall River Electric at the Tetonia power plant before returning to work for Fremont County where he worked until his retirement.
After his retirement Charley enjoyed sitting and watching TV. A favorite pastime was driving around area car lots on Sunday afternoons when there were no salesman around to bother him.
