Obituary

Cole Samuel Orme, 9, of Ashton, died Monday, August 19, 2013, from injuries suffered in an accident. He was born December 7, 2003, in Logan, Utah to Kevin and Kelsi Hall Orme. He attended school at North Ogden Elementary where he had just finished the third grade. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a stalwart in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was involved in Cub Scouts and had earned his Bear Award. He loved the outdoors and wanted to be a cowboy. He liked to wear snap up western shirts and Wrangler jeans with his cowboy boots. He did not want to be a city kid and so he was excited with his family's recent move to Ashton where he could be a country kid. He liked riding motorcycles, snowmachines and horses. He enjoyed braiding rope, polishing rocks and collecting animal skulls. He liked to invent and make things with his hands. He was very kind hearted and liked to tease. He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Kelsi Orme of Ashton; siblings, Gage, Halli, Ashley and Clay Orme, all of the family home; grandparents, Larry and Deanna Orme of Ashton, Rick and Barbara Hall of Rigby; great-grandfather, Nicholas Sommer of California; several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his cousins Maizie Orme, Nicholas Steinmann and Christopher Steinmann. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center, 516 North 2nd Street, with Bishop Jim Hawkes officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the stake center. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
