Dan
Lords
Jul 21, 1947 — Jun 14, 2023
Dan Lords was born to Wayne Alvah Lords and Naida Brown on July 21, 1947 in St. Anthony, Idaho. On June 14, 2023 he rode out on his final pack saddle trip.
On April 5, 1974, Dan married Karen Marie Durst. He always dreamed of having a car full of beautiful women and Karen helped him achieve that by having three girls; Danyel, Kara, and Kim.
Dan loved the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing, pack saddle trips, and his job in the Forest Service led to many wonderful stories that will be remembered for years to come. He worked for the Forest Services' (Ashton District) for over 30 years, gaining a vast knowledge of every stream, road, and tree around.
Dan became a grandfather in 1999 and continued his adventures with the littles; taking them shooting, razor riding, making them watch old westerns, or teaching them to play dice.
He loved his family, his trip buddies, hunting, fishing, and old westerns until the end. He was free as a breeze and he rode where he pleased, and will continue to be loved.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Naida Lords. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughters Danyel (Mike), Kara (Mark), and Kim (Dave); his brothers, Kevin (Linda), Kent (Kathy), and his sister Lynette (Ron). He is also survived by his four grandchildren Kobie, Jayden, Bailey, and Kali.
"The world was made to enjoy, so enjoy it." - Dan Lords (Senior Year 1966)
