Dan William Reynolds, 68, of Ashton, died peacefully in his home, surrounded by family on January 25, 2017. Dan was born on March 10, 1948 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Morgan Ward Reynolds and Ruth Anna Howard.

Dan graduated from North Fremont High School. He served an LDS mission to Florida. After returning from his mission, he married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Jensen, in the Idaho Falls Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity.

Dan was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many callings including Bishop. He spent his life farming and ranching. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Dan is survived by his wife Ruth, of 47 years, and his five children: Angela (Lee) Schwendiman, Steven J (Alecia) Reynolds, Colter Brett (Melanie) Reynolds, Shawna Ruth (Josh) Sutton, and Rachelle (Josh) Hansen. He is also survived by his siblings Dee (Nikki) Reynolds, Karen (LaGrand) Dixon, James (Mitzie) Reynolds; and 15 grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan Ward and Ruth Anna Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, at the Ashton Tri-Ward Chapel, 1313 North 3600 East, north of the cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., both times at the church.
