Daren Asa Allison, 84, formerly of Ashton died June 16, 2025, in Rexburg, Idaho.

Daren was born April 17, 1941, in Ashton, Idaho to James and Sarah Allison.  He had 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

After graduating high school he joined the US Navy.  He  married Donna Kay Wafer on December 16, 1961, in San Diego, CA.  Daren and Donna went on to have 3 children.  Susan Allison Sarkis, Sara Allison Hansen, and Douglas Allison.

Daren is survived by: Daughter: Susan Allison Sarkis (Georges), Daughter: Sara Allison Hansen, Son: Douglas (Russe) Allison.  Daren loved being a grandpa to Roger (Allyssa) Sarkis, Alex Sarkis, Andrew Sarkis, Ryan Hansen, Courtney McMillan, Nicole Hansen and Olivia Allison and a great grandfather to Hadlie, Quinn and Penny Sarkis and Clive McMillan.  He is also survived by Sisters: Laura Love and Jane Harvey.

Daren loved working with wood, studying scriptures and serving in the San Diego temple for over 20 years. Daren loved to cook and was known for his peanut brittle. He loved fishing with his grandkids.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 27, 2025, at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton.  Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion and the US Navy Honor Guard.
