Debra Davis, 57 passed away peacefully in Walnut Creek, California on August 15, 2013.
She was born in Richland, Washington to AlaJean and Junior Lambert Bates. She had a happy childhood, growing up in a tight-knit community playing with her friends from dawn until dusk.
After graduating from Richland High, she went to BYU where she decided to take a Political Science class. It was here that she met her charming husband, Mark Davis. They were married in the Oakland Temple and had 2 children, Jennifer and Jordan. Debbie has held many church callings including Young Women's President, Relief Society Presidency, and Activity Days. Debbie is known for her tenacious got get em' spirit, excitement in learning something new, and for her love of the gospel. She lived a life of service, changing the lives of many people and helping in their time of need. She will be dearly missed, but has joyfully set the way for her eternal family to follow.
Debra is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Davis; her daughter, Jen Davis, VA; her son Jordan Davis and his wife Kaycie, UT; her brother Steven Bates and his wife Lisa, ID; her brother Roger Bates and his wife Sherri, OR; and her sister, Holly Bates, WA.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Antioch 1st Ward Chapel, 3015 Rio Grande Drive, Antioch, CA 94509. Friends may visit from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Island Park City Cemetery in Island Park, ID on Wednesday, September 4, 2013.
