Dennis Callaway

Dennis Wayne Callaway, 81, of Island Park, Idaho, died October 30, 2026, at his home of natural causes. He was born September 20, 1945, in Los Angeles, California to Wayne Adolphus and Helen Mary Fritch Callaway.

He was raised and attended school in Los Angeles. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Air Force. He was deployed to Vietnam where he served honorably.

After being honorably discharged from the military, he moved to Washington State where he worked as a fraud investigator for the state government. After retiring from this job, he moved to Island Park, Idaho. He became a real estate agent and worked in the Island Park market for a few years until retiring again.

He enjoyed being in Island Park and was an avid fly fisherman. He loved ice hockey with the Los Angeles Kings being his favorite team.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Davis; Norm Savage, Peggy’s partner and friend of Dennis; and two nephews, Chris and Brady Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a time and place yet to be determined.
