DeWayne Vance Derricott, 62, of Island Park, died November 29, 2024, at the Ashton Living Center of natural causes.

He was born February 14, 1962, in Rexburg, Idaho to Vance and Marie Fisher Derricott.  Shortly after his birth, the family moved to St. George, Utah where they resided until 1972, when they moved to Island Park.  DeWayne attended schools in Ashton and St. Anthony.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  For several years, it was his responsibility to provide the bread for the sacrament each Sunday.

He loved to ride his 4-wheeler.  He would ride around checking on all his friends and neighbors, making certain that they were taking care of things.  He enjoyed his routine of having lunch every day at Subway.  He was happy and good natured and enjoyed seeing, and visiting, with his friends.

He is survived by his sister, Aleana (Glade) Gunnell of Island Park and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Marie, and his sister, Tally.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on  Saturday, December 7, at the Island Park LDS Chapel.  Interment will be in the Island Park Cemetery.
