Obituary

It is with loving hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Egbert Curr, on January 11, 2025, at the age of 60. She was born on February 29, 1964, a leap day, and her life was a testament to the extraordinary love, faith, and joy she shared with all who knew her.

Donna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her unwavering testimony of the gospel was an anchor to her family and friends. Throughout her life, she exemplified Christlike love, charity, and service to others. She served with all her heart, soul, and strength, always striving to lift others and bring them closer to the Savior. Her kindness, humility, and genuine concern for those around her were evident in every aspect of her life.

As a devoted mother, Donna raised her children with a deep love for the Lord and a firm foundation in the gospel. She taught them to rely on faith, prayer, and the teachings of Jesus Christ in every trial they faced. Her example of enduring to the end and finding joy in the simple, sacred moments of life will forever be etched in their hearts.

Donna taught her children and grandchildren the importance of hard work whether it was on the farm, ball diamond, or in the classroom. She could always be found on the sideline or in the audience at a band concert supporting those she loved, and usually with a special treat for the team. She became known to many as "Momma Curr".

In addition to her role as a mother, Donna was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She served in various callings in the Church, including Young Womens President, Relief Society President, and a temple worker since 2017. Her service left a lasting impact on the lives of those she served. Her testimony of eternal families was a cornerstone of her life, and she looked forward to the day when she would be reunited with her loved ones on the other side of the veil.

Donna is survived by her spouse, Brian Curr of Chester, Idaho. Children; James (Jessica) Curr of Wilford, Idaho, and Laree (Jason) Cook of Rupert, Idaho. Three grandsons and two granddaughters. Her siblings, Debra (Craig) Kvamme, Doug (Carol) Egbert, and D'Leah Darnell, and many dear friends who will miss her kind, loving presence. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Karen Egbert and Dorothy Margaret Browning.

A funeral service to honor her life and legacy will be held on January 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Stake Center in Ashton, Idaho. Interment will follow at the Chester Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening January 15, 2025 at 5:30 - 7:00 pm and prior to the service Thursday 10:00 am, with funeral at 11:00 am. All are invited to attend and celebrate the life of Donna.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the many acts of love, kindness, and support during this time. Donna's life was one of deep faith, quiet strength, and enduring love. After a thirteen year battle with cancer, she returns to her Heavenly Father. We take comfort in knowing that she is surrounded by His loving arms and that, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we will be together again forever.
