Dorothy Lou Fransen Clemons, 80, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Ashton, died July 1, 2017, at her home. She was born July 1, 1937, in Ashton to Art and Neva Ghormley Fransen. She attended school in Ashton and graduated from North Fremont High School.
After high school, she joined the US Air Force and served for 4 years.
She married George A. Clemons and they raised 11 children together. George died in 2001.
She worked as a CNA and a licensed practical nurse.
She enjoyed crocheting, and collecting things.
She was a member of the Ashton Community United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Melvin Clemons, Larry Clemons, Connie Brown, Andrea Montes, Phillip Berry, Peter Berry, Georgeanna Clemons, Joe Clemons, Robert Clemons, Brandy Brassard; brothers, Spike Fransen and Jim Fransen; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jay, and a son David.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, at the Ashton Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Desi Larsen officiating.
