Eugene Glen Clark, “Glen”, was born on June 10,1937, in Rexburg, Idaho to Eugene H. Clark and Helen Ashley Clark. Glen died September 13, 2026, at EIRMC after a fall.
Glen grew up outside of Ashton on the family farm. Working with his dad, milking cows, and working in the fields. He attended high school at North Fremont High school in Ashton. He participated in football and graduated from North Fremont in 1956.
After graduation Glen joined the National Guard, then went to work - something he did every day of his life. He had a variety of jobs: he worked on the Palisades dam, out to the “site” - now INL. He worked in the timber industry and was the owner of Clark Timber Products. Glen could fix most anything and he always had a little farm to putter on. He did take time for a few hobbies, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and later in life he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Glen married Jean Waddell and together they had 3 children. They lived in Idaho Falls during their marriage, and were later divorced, Glenn moved back to Ashton in about 1990. He continued to do the things he loved the best. Raising cows, growing trees, collecting junk - and collecting things he thought were useful!
On February 14, 2014, Glen married Georgia Wester in Billings Montana. After communicating on the internet they met for dinner at a truck stop - and the rest is history! Glen enjoyed playing pinochle at the Greentimber School and was a member of the Methodist Men group. He was a good neighbor and tried to help his neighbors and friends when he could.
Glen is survived by his wife Georgia; brother DeWayne (Marcia) Clark; daughters, Sonia McKerigan and Michelle (Robert) Peterson; daughter-in-law Mary Clark; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters - Helen Deon Clark and Carma Claudine Clark; his son, Dale; and son-in-law DeWayne McKerigan
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, with Pastor Linda Bibb officiating. The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
