Obituary

Frieda Helen Mirelez, 87, of St. Anthony, Idaho passed away June 2, 2025, at Carriage Cove in Rexburg, Idaho from causes incident to age.

She was born June 29, 1938, in Rexburg, Idaho to Frederick and Olga Geraghty Hill.  She was raised and attended schools in Ashton, Idaho.

In the late 1950's, Frieda moved from Ashton to Denver, Colorado and began her career in the restaurant industry.  She worked as the hostess/bookkeeper for many years at the Coachlight Restaurant in Aurora, Colorado until it closed in 1989.  She later worked for US Foods, finally retiring in 2006 and moving back to Ashton where she lived with her son, Blake Boyd.

Frieda became an avid Bronco football fan during her years in Colorado and she remained fan to the very end.  Frieda loved a good cup of coffee and was never too shy to make a new friend.  She loved to laugh and tease everyone.

Here in Ashton, she donated her time working at the Food Pantry for several years.  Her favorite hobby was collecting depression glass and making some really awesome stained glass pieces.  Most of all she loved cookbooks of all kinds.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Frieda will be held at El Jaliciense Restaurant, 119 Bridge Street, in St. Anthony, on July 19 at 2:00 p.m.
