George Raymond Robertson passed away peacefully on February 25, 2023, at his home in Ashton, Idaho.

He was born in Florence, Arizona on June 8, 1945, to George F. and Helen J Robertson where George senior was stationed at the military P.O.W camp. George's family returned to their home in Tonopah, Nevada when he was 9 months old.

He spent all his high school years in Nevada with his friends in "the Class of 63".

George married and had a daughter Lenelle. He then divorced and married Karon Collum on January 3, 1966. From this union, the couple had two children, Rhonda Kay and Raymond Lynn.

Raymond lost his life in 1990 which left George devastated.

George had many trades. He was building car engines at a young age. He went on to drive trucks and had a small engine repair business. He worked for the school district repairing school buses and he retired from the Nevada Department of Transportation as a highway maintainer in 2007.

One of his greatest thrills was when he got his pilot's license and bought a Cessna. He would take any and everybody for a ride! He also rode motorcycles and loved to fish. He loved the Lord and was a member of Ashton Christian Fellowship Church.

George is survived by his wife, Karon - daughters Lenelle (Jay) Anderson - Rhonda (Gerrid) Pope - grandsons Michael Ray McLaughlin, Mike McLaughlin, and Kevin Pope. Granddaughter Kayla (Joe) Smith, great grandchildren Austin and Sierra and brother Bill Robertson.

He is preceded in death by son Raymond Robertson, sister Linda Fitch, sister in-laws Mary Barney, Fran Dunn, and Garnet Robertson.

George will be fondly remembered for his generosity, quick wit, and his love for people and animals alike.
