Wanda "Irene" Klein was born on August 18, 1935, to her parents Clyde Wanda Seeley and Neil S. Swensen. She was welcomed by siblings Russell, Darlene and Boyd with Carol joining the family later.

She attended school at Lincoln Elementary and graduated from South Fremont High School in May 1953. After graduation, she worked in West Yellowstone and then moved to Idaho Falls to work for S.H. Kress and Company. She met and then married William "Harvey" Klein on November 18, 1955. They made their home in Wilford, Idaho where they continued to live their entire lives raising children, Donna, John, Brent and Mark, along with livestock and various crops.

Irene enjoyed the farm life and working in the dirt. She raised a beautiful garden and often shared many vegetables with friends and family. She was proud of her flower gardens and couldn't wait for spring to bring the tulips and iris into full bloom. Another favorite in springtime was the birth of lambs and calves. She truly enjoyed nurturing the mothers and their newborn babies.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband (Harvey), son (Mark), son-in-law (David Gietzen), brother and sister-in-law (Russell and LaRue Swensen), brother-in-law (Douglas French) and her parents.

She is survived by siblings Boyd (Chris) Swensen, Darlene French and Carol (Dave) Gardner. Her children Donna Gietzen (Gerry Thamert), John (Lynn) Klein and Brent (Robin) Klein. Her grandchildren are Austin (Jesse) Klein, Breck Klein, Katie (Kolby) Watson, Casey (Tasha) Moore, seven great grandchildren, and several inherited grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We would like to thank The Rexburg Homestead Caregivers and The Homestead Home Health and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care they provided to our mom during the past year.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, at the Wilford LDS Chapel.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the Church.  Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
