Jacoba H. van Mastrigt, 102, died March 2, 2026, at a Rexburg Care Facility. She was born August 14, 1923, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the daughter of Jacobus C. and Gerritje H. (van Vliet) Groenendijk.

After surviving the German Occupation of Holland in World War II, Jacoba married William C. van Mastrigt of the Hague, Netherlands in 1946, and then immigrated to the United States of America in 1951, where they raised four children, seeking a new life of freedom and individual liberty for their family that was not possible in Europe.

While raising her children, she and her husband became politically active in Northern California in the 1960's to help make Citizens aware of the corruption in government and educate people on the dangers of socialism and communism threatening America. After raising her four children, Jacoba worked for various notable companies in the San Francisco, California Bay Area specializing in forensic accounting.

Jacoba is survived by her son Willem H. van Mastrigt of Campbell, California, her daughter Pauline H. van Mastrigt (Endecott) of Ashton, Idaho, and her son Frits R. van Mastrigt of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton.
