Janette Kunz Robson, 90, of Felt, ID was called home on Friday, May 5,2017 in Rexburg Idaho. She was born on August 25, 1926 in Cedron, Idaho to Alma Abel Kunz and Mary Kunz. Jan attended schools in Cedron and Driggs. After graduation she trained to become a telephone operator in Pocatello, Idaho. She met and married Dale Richard Robson on May 7, 1945 in Pocatello Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Rexburg Temple in 2009.
Following Dale's release from the Navy, he and Jan returned home to Felt to farm with Dale's parents, Horace and Winnie Robson. Jan was famous for her hospitality and cooking. She was willing to share her home, her food, her time and her talents with anyone who needed them, She made everyone feel loved and welcome in her home. Her meals were famous and her pies were extraordinary. She had fun sharing her pie making skills with her activity day girls. Jan quietly served many throughout her life. She was a truck driver, potato sorter, parts runner, fish cleaner, lunch maker and always willing to go above and beyond what was needed. She liked a clean house and a well-kept yard with lots of flowers.
Jan rode in the Roperettes, ( a ladies riding club) during the 70's and she and Dale were also in the Teton Saddle club.
Jan's children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She and Dale never missed an activity or event they were participating in. Each child and grandchild felt that he or she was the favorite. Jan was very proud of each of them and their accomplishments. She enjoyed fishing, especially king salmon fishing in Alaska. She had a talent for picking the winners at the race track and won several large purses. She developed this talent as she and Dale raced their own horses throughout the years.
Jan loved the view of the Teton peaks from her home in Felt. She missed the peaks greatly when she moved to assisted living in Idaho Falls and Rexburg in her later years. She spoke of the peaks to everyone daily. The people who served her in her later years all spoke of her fondly and remarked on her many compliments to them.
Jan is survived by her sons, Brent (Linda), Gary (Marlene), and daughter Cindy Hansen (Bruce), 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Laron Kunz of Utah.
