Obituary

Jarvis R. Hibbert, 47, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital of natural causes.

He was born September 9, 1976, in Driggs, Idaho to Linda Gail Dennis and Ivan Ray Hibbert.  He was raised and attended school in Teton Valley.

He married Shanelle Jensen in November of 1997.  Three daughters were born to this union, Morganne, Savannah, and Loghan.  He was later divorced.

Jarvis was a diesel mechanic.  He worked at Grand Targhee Resort for a few years repairing snowcats and other equipment.  While living in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas he worked for Holt Caterpillar.  After moving back to Idaho, he continued working as a mechanic.

He enjoyed building and painting model cars and doing paint by number.  He enjoyed being outdoors and liked fishing, camping and skiing.

He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his daughters, Morganne Hibbert of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Savannah (Layne) Anderson of Rexburg, Loghan (Jace) Shurtliff of Idaho Falls; his mother, Linda Hibbert of Rexburg; father, Ivan Hibbert of Tetonia; siblings, Lisa (Billy) Fullmer of Tetonia, Connie (Carl) Eggleston of Thayne, Wyoming, Keegan (Sara) Hibbert of Idaho Falls; a grandson, Alexander Grey Shurtliff, with another grandchild on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fullmer Residence, 6321 N. 1st Street, in Tetonia.  Friends and family are welcome!
