Obituary

Jeanette Thompson Johnson, 36, died July 25, 2017, at the Ashton Living Center from complications from injuries suffered in a car accident on January 10, 2011.

Jeanette was born October 31, 1980, in St. Anthony, Idaho to James and Faye Rasmussen Thompson. She was raised in Teton and attended Teton Elementary. She then attended junior high and high school in St. Anthony, graduating from South Fremont High School in 1999.

She married Jerome Johnson and two children were born to this union, Addilyn and Devin. Jeanette and Jerome were later divorced. Jeanette's children were the love of her life, and gave meaning and purpose to everything she did.

She worked as a waitress at Applebee's and JB's and loved her work. She enjoyed the people that she worked with and the people that she served, and they loved her in return. She had a big personality and was a great friend to everyone.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving and being involved in the different activities and programs. She served as the ward organist for a number of years. She was aware of others and their needs and always helping others.

She loved scrapbooking and crafting. She made scrapbooks for each of her children that will be treasured by her family. She had a special love for all kinds of music and was an accomplished pianist. She could sit and play wherever there was a piano. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked riding motorcycles and snowmachines. She was always busy and on the go.

She is survived by her children, Addilyn, 15, and Devin, 13, both of Rigby; her parents, Jim and Faye Thompson of Teton; siblings, Rick (Michelle) Thompson of St. George, Utah, Michelle (Sonny) Palmer of Wilford, Shauna (Isaac) Wasden of Burton, Brady (Katie) Thompson of Port Orchard, Washington; half-brothers, Bill Thompson of Teton, Danny (Karen) Thompson of Idaho Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Freeman and Wilda Rasmussen and James and Ruth Ann Thompson; her special uncle Leon, and uncle Gordon Thompson.

The family would like to thank the Ashton Living Center staff and management for their tender loving care the last five and a half years. They treated her like family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, at the Teton LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
