Jimmy Ray Conyer, 80, of Island Park and formerly of Pocatello, died November 8, 2022, at his home.

Jim was born March 17, 1942, in Oklahoma to Marion Terrell and Leatrice Beatrice Scott Conyer.  He was raised and attended school in Morenci, Arizona.

He married Marian Suttles on August 29, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona.  They made their home in Phoenix for a few years and two children, Troy and Jill, were born there.  They later moved to Pocatello and lived there until moving to Island Park.

Jim worked as an engineer in the semi-conductor industry for 27 years.  After retirement, Jim and Marian started spending time camping in Island Park.  Eventually they bought a home there where they have enjoyed the surroundings and the people that have become their good friends.

Jim enjoyed fishing, but work was his true hobby.  He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marian, of Island Park; son, Troy of Boise; daughter, Jill (Scott) of Pocatello; three grandsons, Tyler (Alison), Chance, and Tanner; three great-grandchildren, Tayson, Teegan, and Holly; and a brother David Conyer.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Conyer.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
