Joleen Bohi Parkinson, 94, of Ashton, Idaho, died April 23, 2023, at Homestead Senior Living in Rexburg of congestive heart failure.
She was born April 10, 1929, in Sugar City, Idaho to Joseph and Myrtle Lavern Bohi. She attended school in Sugar City. She was involved in music and worked away from home during the summer.
After high school, she attended college and earned her teaching degree. She taught first grade in Sugar City until her marriage to Dean Parkinson on June 12, 1951, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home in Marysville and she taught first grade in Ashton for 34 years.
