Obituary

KayLynn Tighe Mitchell, 75, of St. Anthony, died October 27, 2022, at her home after courageous battle with cancer for 20 years. She was born June 13, 1947, in Ashton, Idaho to Marvin and Jean Reiman Tighe.

She attended school in Ashton and graduated from North Fremont High School. She attended Ricks College for a time.

She was married to Lynden Mower. Six sons were born to this union. She and Lynden later divorced. In December of 1996, she married William Mitchell in Jerome, Idaho. After several years of marriage they retired and moved to St. Anthony where she resided until her death.

She was the nicest, and most modest, lady you could ever know. She made Bill's life absolutely wonderful. She was so very proud of her six boys, and the men they turned out to be! She made great friends everywhere she went. We are all so very blessed to know her. She was the perfect example of a loving mother. Her sons were spoiled with care and love. She talked fondly of the friends she met in church and work throughout her life. She loved her husband and made her home a pleasure to visit.  She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and always tried to emulate his love for others.

She was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions.

She is survived by her husband Bill; sons, Brett (Penny), Bart (Chantel), Kevin, Kelly, Jeremy, and Jamey (Beth); 25 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Annette, Vince, and Brent. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Uywan.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, with Bishop Mike Loveland officiating.
