Obituary

The family of Kenneth Davis Corbridge Sr are saddened to announce his sudden passing on November 25th, 2025.

Born on March 30th of 1946 to Betty Jo Spracher and his adoptive father Newell Dale Corbridge of American Falls, he was later joined in the family by his sisters Sheryl and Tamara. They lived in American Falls on a farm where they raised horses, chinchillas, and at one point even a pet monkey. Ken grew up with a strong work ethic and a drive to accomplish things, and it followed him through his adolescence and into the remainder of his life. In 1965 he married his first wife Judi Turner and together they brought two sons into the world, Ken (Kenny) Corbridge Jr and Michael Corbridge, and later divorced. In 2011, Marie was proudly adopted by the man she had come to know as her father and took on his last name of Corbridge.

Ken was a man who found an interest and passion in most things, and let that drive many of his careers and hobbies. Throughout his life he was a pilot, master scuba diver and instructor, photographer, massage therapist, white water rafting guide, and business owner in Pocatello. In the early 2000's he fell in love with and made his home part time in Island Park, ID, and spent his years exploring its beautiful nature via four wheelers, snowmobiles, horseback riding and off-roading, or simply enjoying the view from the front porch of his cabin. All of this was always more happily done with friends and loved ones. Ken was someone who knew just about everyone, and was always willing to help out those in need, whether with advice or good old fashioned elbow grease, day or night. He extended that kindness by hosting the Pocatello Iwamizawa Sister City Delegation overnight every summer, giving a personable and memorable experience for the Japanese Delegates and Pocatello Committee. One of his favorite past times was hailing the accomplishments of his friends and family to anyone who would listen. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, and he ensured it was known. His life and sudden departure from this world has left a mark in many, and he will be missed as he lives on in the stories and hearts of those who knew him.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents and sister Tamara. He is survived by his sister Sheryl Burt, his children and their spouses: Ken Corbridge Jr (Michelle), Michael Corbridge (Jordan), Marie Corbridge Fenwick (Donavan), his grandchildren Kaci Corbridge, Taryn Corbridge, Haylee Savage, Conner Corbridge, Garrett Corbridge, Tate Corbridge, Brennan Corbridge, Jackson Corbridge, Serana Fenwick, and great grandson Kaden Herr.

A celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for December 13, 2025 in Island Park, ID. Details to be announced. If you would like to dress in honor of Ken, plaid, camo, and/or blue jeans are recommended. Pictures, stories, or other similar correspondence can be sent to rememberingkcorbridge@gmail.com

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!""
