Obituary

James Kim Kirkham, 71, of St. Anthony died May 22, 2023, at his home of natural causes.  He was born on September 12, 1952, in the Driggs, Idaho hospital, then lived and grew up in Ashton, Idaho.

Kim married his high school sweetheart Genavieve "Jenny" Kirkham on October 1, 1971, and was married to Jenny for over 37 years.

Kim proudly served in the Army for 5 years, these years were some of his most fondly remembered times and Kim continued to talk about his time in the Army right up into his final days.

After Kim's time in the Army he returned to the St. Anthony area with his wife and 1st born son, Thomas Edward Shane Kirkham. There Kim began his career in the lumber industry and worked for Stoddard Lumber/Willmore Lumber for over 30 years. Kim loved his job at Willmore Lumber and formed lifelong relationships with those that worked at and owned Willmore Lumber and still stopped by to visit his friends there after retiring.

Kim is survived by his son James Shaun (Emily) Kirkham; brothers, Delbert Kirkham, Brent Kirkham, & Randy (Sabrina) Kirkham, a sister Penny (Vern) Fullmer, 5 Grandchildren,  daughter-in-law Wendy Alexander;  and brother-in-law, Kim Abegglen.

He was preceded in death by his father & mother Delbert & Velma Kirkham, brother Roger Kirkham, sister Sherry Abegglen, and son Thomas Edward Shane Kirkham.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery with Military Honors by the Madison County Veterans and Idaho Honor Guard.
