Lindsay E. Hatch, 76, of Tetonia, Idaho passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his home of natural causes. He was born August 18, 1936, in York, Nebraska a son of Lawrence and Isabel Egbert Hatch. He grew up in Teton Valley, the fifth of six children. He graduated from Teton High School in 1954.

Lindsay enjoyed many different hobbies like horse riding, hunting and fishing. His greatest love was at the sheep camps in Mud Lake, working with his uncle Sam.

Mud Lake was also the special place where he met his future wife, Bonnie C. Schwartz. Lindsay and Bonnie were married in 1960. They made their home in Teton Valley where they raised two handsome sons, David and Sam.

He served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict.

Lindsay is survived by his wife Bonnie of Tetonia; son, Lindsay Samuel (Cindy) Hatch of Tetonia; daughter-in-law, Annie Kaufman of Tetonia; grandchildren, Rachel (Spencer) Smith of Driggs, Sheena (Matt) Van Leerdam of Victor, Amy (Brett) Jennings of Victor, Stephanie Timar of Rexburg, Sara Hatch of Jackson, Wyoming, Mick Grandy of Tetonia, Sadie Hatch and Seth Hatch of Rigby; three great-grandchildren Kylie and Taytum Jennings and Austin Smith; two brothers John E. "Jack" Hatch and Lincoln (Shirley) Hatch; and a sister Jeannette (Katz) Miyasaki. He is preceded in death by his son David James Hatch, his parents, a brother James and a sister LuAnn.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, at the Cache-Clawson Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 95. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Tetonia LDS Chapel following the graveside services. All friends and family are invited to attend and share their stories and memories.
