Obituary

Lisa Marie Meyers Miller, 43, of Ashton, passed away on June 10, 2013, at Madison Memorial Hospital after a short-term illness.

She was born September 26, 1969, in Rexburg, Idaho to Evan and Nancy Hollist Meyers. She was raised and attended school in Sugar City. As a young child she enjoyed spending time with her father at the Meyers Brothers Feedlot. She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in 1988. While in high school she was involved in volleyball, basketball and cheerleading.

She attended cosmetology school in Idaho Falls at Vogue Beauty College. She became a licensed cosmetology instructor. She was a highly loved volleyball coach and substitute teacher in the Ashton schools.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving and teaching in the Young Women, Primary and Relief Society organizations.

She was married to John Pocock. Out of that union were born two amazing sons, Jake Reed and Jevin Dustin. They were later divorced.

She lived for a short time in Malad where she owned a successful beauty salon.

She married Bryan Miller on August 17, 2002, in Ashton, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on August 23, 2003. They made their home in Ashton where Lisa was also a wonderful mother to Breanne Hope, Ashlie Nieca and Kyla Deaette.

Lisa loved spending time with her family and friends. She touched countless lives and made friends wherever she went.

She is survived by her husband Bryan of Ashton; children Jake Pocock of Sugar City, Elder Jevin Pocock serving in the Kenya Nairobi Mission, Breanne Miller of Idaho Falls, Ashlie Miller and Kyla Miller of Sugar City; her parents Evan and Nancy Meyers of Rexburg; siblings Anna (David) Zollinger of Draper, Utah, Trevor (Lara) Meyers of McLean, Virginia, Sally (Brandon) Taylor of Eagle, Idaho, Tyler (Amber) Meyers of St. George, Utah, Kristina (Eric) Gwilliam of Meridian, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center, 512 North 2nd Street, with Bishop Brian Loosli officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. both times at the Ashton Stake Center. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
