Lloyd Louis Griffel, 89, of Squirrel, ID was called home to his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2022 at home. He was born April 28, 1932 in Squirrel, ID to Fred C. and Martha Griffel. He grew up on the family farm in Squirrel and attended school in Kelley and Ashton. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church.

In addition to his love of farming, he was an avid fisherman, pilot, and hunter. He loved all things mechanical including antique tractors, cars and snowplanes. He married Julie Griffel and to this union was born Anna Griffel, Laura Penrod, Lisa Gallagher, Sarah Baughn and Mike Griffel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Zion Lutheran Church.
