Obituary

Lorene Joyce Roseborough, 81, of St. Anthony, died May 26, 2022, at the Ashton Living Center of natural causes.

She was born January 12, 1941, in Milburn, Nebraska to Walter William and Mary Ellen Miller Harris. At age 11, her family moved to Notus, Idaho were she finished her schooling.

She married Richard Earl Roseborough on June 5, 1958, in St. Anthony. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home in St. Anthony where they raised their family.

Lorene was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Primary for 35 years, as 1st Counselor in the Relief Society presidency, and as a ward missionary.

She worked for many years as a cook at Lincoln and Central Elementary schools in St. Anthony. She loved working with her friends there and was devoted to the children that they fed every day.

She loved to take her canoe and go fishing at Sand Creek and Warm River. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading. When her children were still at home she raised a large garden.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Tammieray (Gabino) Sanchez of Mexico, John (Suzette) Roseborough of Teton, Merlynn Gilliam of Fairbanks, Alaska, Joyce (Matthew) Williams of Idaho Falls, Kevin (Doris) Roseborough of Malta, Idaho; a brother, George (Ginger) Harris of Kettle Falls, Washington; 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; daughter, Pennie Jo; and three sister, Patricia, Jennie, and Diana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at the St. Anthony 3rd and 4th Ward Chapel, 507 West 2nd North, with Bishop Ron Birch officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
