Obituary

Our dear father, Lowell Bolton Rich, left this life for another on March 4, 2014 at the age of 91. He was born June 19, 1922 in St. Charles, Idaho. Lowell was the second of five children born to Orson and Alice Rich.

He attended school in Bear Lake Valley and Logan Utah.

Lowell married Marva Egbert of Ashton in the Logan Utah Temple on Nov. 22, 1944. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary last November.

Lowell made a successful living as a farmer in Ashton area.

Lowell was active in the LDS Church and served in many capacities. He served his community on the Fremont County school board for many years, he also served on the F.H.A. and Marysville ditch boards.

His many talents included carpentry, woodworking, and leather work. He was an excellent machinist and welder. He was always a gentleman and his family is his greatest treasure.

Lowell is survived by his wife Marva and his children 4 children, Marlow (Jann) Rich, Thayne (Linda) Rich, Gaye Ann (Scott) Ercanbrack, and Wendell J. Rich. He will be greatly missed by his 15 grand children and 20 great grand children.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Ashton LDS 1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Brian Loosli officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, in Ashton, and Saturday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
