Lyle Douglas Smith, son of Kent and Connie French Smith,  passed away on December 13, 2025, after a car accident near his hometown of Cleburne, Texas.

Lyle was such a pleasure to be around. He was a beacon of kindness, with a gentle soul that touched all who knew him. His goodness, kindness and laughter will forever resonate in our memories!

Lyle loved his family! His Grandma, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends played a big part in his life!

Lyle had so much love and respect for his Mom, who he considered his best friend! One of Lyle's favorite quotes was… "Always my mother, forever my friend"!!!

He was very patriotic and had much pride and respect for his Country and those who served!

Lyle excelled in sports, especially baseball! He also had a great love for outdoors!

Lyle was currently working for Wade Bingham (Two Peas in a Pod!!!), in the farming industry.

He was highly respected and loved within the farming community, by all ages, both young and old!

Lyle will live on forever in our hearts and memories!

Knowing he is now with his Dad and Grandpa, does bring us all so much comfort and peace.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m at Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton.  Immediately following the visitation there will be a graveside service at the Sutton Cemetery, 900 East 7242 South, Rexburg, Idaho 83440

A Celebration of Life will be held in Texas at a date and time yet to be determined.
