Obituary

Madason Terra Moon
September 1, 1992 – October 9, 2025

Madason Terra Moon passed away on October 9, 2025, in Murray, Utah. She was born in Payson, Utah, on September 1, 1992, to Michael (Charae) Moon and Christy (Sven) Kelling.

From the moment she was born, Madason was a ray of sunshine. Her Christlike qualities—compassion, empathy, and unconditional love—were immeasurable. Her earthly mission was not to learn to be Christlike, but simply to receive an earthly body. Despite the struggles she faced in life, these inborn traits never dimmed; she always loved her family deeply and sincerely.

Her childhood  companion was her brother, Koleton. Together, they formed a sibling bond that will never be broken. Madason was a caregiver to all her siblings, but her connection with Koleton was especially close. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, exemplifying selflessness and care.

Madason faced many heartaches and challenges, and the pain of this world sometimes became overwhelming. In her formative years, she gravitated toward those who were accepting, though not always caring or kind. Despite her struggles, the compassionate and caring little girl within her remained unchanged. Madason was a piece of heaven in a dark, unforgiving world, and those who knew her will never forget the warmth and kindness she shared.

Some souls require much refinement, but Madason was a pure soul who radiated love and compassion. Even in her darkest moments, her loving nature persisted. Her time on Earth was brief, but her impact will be everlasting. She is now pain free, continuing her journey in the life hereafter as a guardian angel to those she loved.

Madason loved music—often finding escape and comfort in it. One of her favorite songs was Ejae's "Golden," whose lyrics she would often sing:

I was a ghost, I was alone
Given the throne, I didn't know how to believe
I was the queen that I'm meant to be
I lived two lives, tried to play both sides
But I couldn't find my own place
Called a problem child 'cause I got too wild
But now that's how I'm getting paid on stage
I'm done hidin', now I'm shinin' like I'm born to be
We dreamin' hard, we came so far, now I'll believe
We're goin' up, up, up, it's our moment
You know together we're glowing
Gonna be, gonna be golden
Oh, up, up, up with our voices
Gonna be, gonna be golden
Oh, I'm done hidin', now I'm shinin' like I'm born to be
Oh, our time, no fears, no lies
That's who we're born to be
Waited so long to break these walls down
To wake up and feel like me
Put these patterns all in the past now
And finally live like the girl they all see
No more hiding, I'll be shining like I'm born to be
'Cause we are hunters, voices strong, and I know I'll believe
We're goin' up, up, up, it's our moment
You know together we're glowing
Gonna be, gonna be golden
Oh, up, up, up, with our voices
Gonna be, gonna be golden
Oh, I'm done hidin', now I'm shining like I'm born to be
Oh, our time, no fears, no lies
That's who we're born to be
You know we're gonna be, gonna be golden
We're gonna be, gonna be
Born to be, born to be glowin'
You know that it's our time, no fears, no lies
That's who we're born to be

Madason is survived by her parents, Michael and Charae Moon, Christy and Sven Kelling; her grandparents, Bob and Janet Allan; her siblings, Koleton (Sierra) Moon, Cameron (Leandra) DePalma, Preston (Janika) Moon, Brooke (Drake) Schlappi, Katelon (Jake) Miller, Brynn DePalma, and Brooke Moon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis and Vickie Moon.

The world became a little darker the day Madason passed, but the light she shared can never be extinguished. She is now pain free, reunited with loved ones, and serves as a guardian angel to those she loved.

There will be a viewing at 1:00 and memorial service at 2:00 on Saturday October 18th at Berg Mortuary.

She will be interred in Ashton, Idaho at a date and time yet to be determined.

"If you fall, pick yourself up off the floor.

And when you think your bones can't take no more,

Just remember what you are fighting for."

Maddy Dear

Maddy dear, a gentle light,
Each day you shone so true and bright.
You lifted hearts and calmed each fear,
Your kindness glowed to all who neared.

Life, unfair, with shadows cast,
Gloom and sorrow growing fast.
Betrayed by those you called your own,
You faced the darkness all alone.

Innocent, so fragile, pure,
You searched for ways to just endure.
You hid behind your crafted mask,
Your eyes concealed, your gentle ask.

With makeup, glitter, veils of art,
You tried to shield your tender heart.
Yet even in the blackest night,
Your innocence shone clear and bright.

You found acceptance—fleeting, thin—
From those who posed as caring kin.
They offered doors to numb the ache,
But pain returned, for old times' sake.

Too heavy was the world's cruel weight,
Too much for one so delicate.
Still, love within you could not hide,
It radiated from inside.

Your acts of kindness, selfless, pure,
Touched many lives and will endure.
Though pain you carried, hid from view,
Your loving spirit always true.

You pulled away, you disappeared,
From those who cared, from those who feared
To lose the light you brought each day—
You fought so bravely, come what may.

Your time on earth, though far too brief,
Fulfilled your work, surpassed belief.
The world grew dimmer when you passed,
But heaven welcomed you at last.

Now from above, you gently guide,
With watchful eyes still open wide.
Your story, Maddy, finds new wings,
In heaven's choir, your spirit sings.

Though life was hard, the battle fierce,
Your perfect soul could not be pierced.
Behind the masks, through every pain,
Your loving light will still remain.

Till last breath, you thought of others,
Your Christlike love a gift that hovers.
Now, angel wings adorn your form,
Your eyes, once hidden, brightly warm.

Until we meet in realms above,
We'll feel your watch, your endless love.
Inspired by you, we'll live and try
To honor you, with every day.
