Marie Fisher Derricott, 83, of Island Park died December 12, 2022 of natural causes. She was born on July 6, 1939, to Everett Lavoy and Verla Mae Newman. She grew up in Hibbard, Idaho and graduated from Madison High in Rexburg.

She married Wayne Vance Derricott June 26, 1959. They had 3 children: Aleana Marie, DeWayne Vance, and Talene Ann. They resided in Rexburg and Sugar City until 1968, when they moved to St. George, Utah for work.

They made a life-changing decision in 1972, to move their family to Island Park, Idaho where they bought and operated Island Park Builders Supply until they retired in 2005.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving as a temple worker, in Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary, as ward librarian and her favorite: the nursery.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vance; 2 brothers , Donald and Everett; a sister, Ilene; a daughter, Talene; and a grandson, Kendrick. Marie is survived by daughter Aleana Gunnell (Glade) and son Dewayne Derricott, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
