Noela Elizabeth Padilla, 85, died peacefully at 8:30am in Rexburg, Idaho on November 23, 2025.

Noela was born in Reno, Nevada on July 10, 1940 to Edward Noel Kitchen and Mary Elizabeth Burt Kitchen. During her childhood, Noela lived in San Francisco CA, Goldfield NV, Warren OH, Detroit MI, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tucson AZ, and Las Vegas NV where she graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1959.

Noela was a skilled pattern maker and seamstress and later applied her technical talents as a drafting engineer for various companies. She was one of only a few women working at the Nevada Test Site in the late 1970s.

Later in life, Noela worked and volunteered for pro-life causes, serving as a consultant and a board member.

Noela learned to fly an airplane and soloed, was an avid golfer, reader, and player of Solitaire.

Noela joined the Catholic Church in 2006 and was involved as a parishioner and usher. She enjoyed a pilgrimage to Italy with her parish in Henderson, NV.

Noela is pre deceased by her husband Tony Padilla and is survived by children Teri Love (Kevin), James Helfrich (Rachel), eight grandchildren, brother Edward Kitchen and sister in law Laura Kitchen.
