Norma Mae Perry Gallagher, 82, of Ashton, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Ashton Living Center of natural causes. She was born August 6, 1930, in Rexburg, Idaho to Howard Alton and Ruby Grace Winters Perry. She was raised and attended school in Marysville.
She married Leo James Gallagher on December 12, 1975. They made their home in Ashton. Leo died on April 4, 2005.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a hard worker and worked for area farmers. She especially enjoyed her time working for George and Carol Marotz.
She liked to craft and enjoyed tying quilts with her mother.
She loved animals, especially cats and she cared for several at her home.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Juana (Frank) House of Caldwell; siblings, Clayton (Nona) Perry of Sugar City, Faye (Darrell) Nystrom of Idaho Falls, Terrell (Anita) Perry of Ashton, Bill (Beverly) Perry of Ashton; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the Ashton 1st Ward Chapel, with Bishop Brian Loosli officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
