Paul
Mcmullin
Apr 25, 1943 — Mar 2, 2024
Paul H McMullin was born on April 25, 1943, In Heber UT to Tommy and Zelma McMullin. They were one of those forever couples. He had a brother Thomas Richard. They spent many years on their farm. Riding horses, rustling cattle that was some of his best memories. His father Tommy then got a job as a principal at Jordan High School. They moved to the city. Paul graduated in 1960. He then served his country the U.S. Army. The Vietnam War. When he got home Dad went to work for a prominent company, Kennecott Construction. He worked there for nearly 40 years.
Paul meets Jean Heath. They fall in love. She already had three beautiful children of her own Brent, Kirk, Shelly. They married and they had a baby boy they named Paul Jr., sadly he passed away. Then they had a little girl Jamie who had stolen his heart. He adopted the three beautiful children and raised them as his own. Paul and Jean ended up being better best friends instead. He then bought his parents home that he grew up in.
Then met our mom, Judy. They fell in love. Had a small wedding. He then gained four more children, daughters Nickie, Gayle; and two sons, John, Shane. He also gained a very good friend in Judy's sister Connie Smith, and her son-in-law Sam Hatch. He was a very loving Grandpa. All the grandchildren have very fond memories growing up.
Years go by things change and he sold his childhood home. He bought a home in Stone, Idaho. Dad wanted to be back in the country life after well-deserved retirement. He thoughtfully picked a place in the middle of both families. He loved it out there. Got a couple horses and a dog and lived his dream. After moving to Stone his favorite place was Molly's and all the friends he made there.
Dad beat cancer twice. He was a very strong man. He helped anyone that needed it. He was kind and caring.
He had some really good friends in Stone. John and Faith and their 4 kids, also Tim and Jackie and any other friends from Stone, Idaho. They were there when family couldn't. Dad lost so many people along the way. He stayed strong throughout his journey. He lived a good life with lots of stories. Now he is with the majority of his family. I'm sure it's going to be a beautiful reunion.
He passed here in Driggs, Idaho on March 2, 2024, with the love and care of his daughters Nickie Hansen and Gayle Hansen.
Peace be with you dad, love and light. You will truly be missed.
