Thomas "Pete" LaVere Chamberlain, 82, of Ashton died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Thomas was born May 20, 1939 to Thomas R. and Mary Ada (Curr) Chamberlain. He was the only child. He grew up in the Chester area on the river.

He attended school in Chester and Ashton.

Thomas served in the National Guard.

He played several instruments. He and his dad had "jam" sessions with friends and family in the early years.

In his early years he enjoyed hunting and was looking forward to fishing again.

He worked with his dad. He did carpentry work for 60 years.

On October 5, 1978 he married Helen Holbrook Hibbert. They were married for 32 years before she passed away.

He was a great step dad & carpenter.

He is survived by his step daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Hibbert.

Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Pineview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 and again from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 both times at Baxter Funeral Home.
