Philip Hart Nash passed away peacefully Friday morning, June 6th.
Philip was born in Weston Idaho, October 10, 1937 to John Uless Nash and Sabina Hart. Philip was a graduate of Preston High School and began a career in radio broadcast engineering and journalism which led him to various cities in the country including Rexburg, Jackson Hole, Sikeston and Cape Girardeau Missouri. He demonstrated a unique talent for the visual arts and was a prolific photographer. Late in life he also developed a unique style of painting western landmarks.
Philip was married to Cheryl Beckstead, later to Genella Ream and finally to Linda Clark. He is survived by an older brother John D. Nash, and two sisters—Marilyn Hull and Sally Davidson. His children, all living are Philip D. Nash of Kaysville Utah, James K. Nash of Ashton Idaho, Michael D. Nash of San Antonio Texas, Sarah L. Creel of Atlanta Georgia, Sabina R. Childers of Cape Girardeau Missouri, Lori Mahala of Bowling Green Kentucky and Isaac G. Nash residing in Atlanta Georgia.
Philip has 26 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren, all of whom will miss his interesting stories and kindness. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed visiting the temple often. He was a long-time ham radio operator with call-sign AC0IB. His voice will be missed but not forgotten.
Interment will be at the Franklin Cemetery, 5400 South Road, in Franklin County Idaho on June 14, 2025 at 11 am.
