Renee Huntsman Dexter, 87, of Ashton, died April 9, 2018, at the Ashton Living Center of natural causes. She was born May 24, 1930, in Driggs, Idaho to William Glenn and Emma Adelaide Richards Huntsman. She was raised in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School.

She married Meredith Don Dexter on December 8, 1949, in Ashton, Idaho. Four sons were born to this union.

Renee enjoyed life. She liked water skiing at Jim's Dock, snow skiing at Bear Gulch, and early morning golf with Joyce Seeley. She enjoyed playing Bridge with good friends. She liked to spend time with her family and liked going to Jackpot with her sister, sisters-in-law and nieces.

After retirement, she and Meredith enjoyed spending winters at Lake Mead.

Renee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and valued her faith.

She is survived by her husband, Meredith of Ashton; sons, Mike (Terri) Dexter of Wallace, Idaho, Craig (Marilyn) Dexter, Brad (Christine) Dexter, and Stacey Dexter, all of Ashton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her step-mother Rita, a sister and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center, 516 North 2nd Street, with Bishop Jim Jorgensen officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Baxter Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
