Dr. Rudolph "Rudy" Linsalata, age 82, of Victor, Idaho, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at his home of natural causes. He was born, May 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, to Patrick Linsalata and Anna Josephine Motta Linsalata. He was raised in Brooklyn. After graduating high school in Brooklyn, Rudy moved west to attend the University of California.

Rudy enjoyed his time at the University of California and graduated with a degree in Medicine. He was an ophthalmologist and skilled surgeon. He served in the US Army for six years as a doctor. He then went into private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. He loved his work and served his community for 40 years until his retirement.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fly fishing and bird hunting. He came to the Teton Valley in the 1980's to fish and fell in love with the area. In 2009, he built a home in Victor and moved there to enjoy the surroundings year round.

He married Donna Mae Langlois Yarborough in 1993, in Scottsdale. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and they enjoyed their time together.

He had many interests and hobbies. One of his most loved hobbies was Bonsai gardening.

He was proud of his service in the military and was a member of the American Legion Post 95. He appreciated his association with the other members of the post.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, and his daughter, Pamela Yarborough. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grave side services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Victor Cemetery, under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Idaho Honor Guard.
