Obituary

Ruth Marcia Killam, 77, of Ashton, passed away on July 4, 2020, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born April 28, 1943, in American Fork, Utah, to Orville Horace and Ruth Mable Sunquist Gillett. She was raised and attended schools in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Robert Killam on July 14, 1972, in Riverside, Idaho

She loved children and ran a daycare and pre-school for many years.

She enjoyed fishing and archery hunting when she was younger. She loved the beauty of the mountains in the Island Park area where they lived for 11 years.

She loved her family and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them.

Ruth is survived by her husband Robert of Ashton; children, Roger (Jenny) Hooper of Winnemucca, Nevada, Terrie (Trent) Phelps of Ashton, Elizabeth (Mark) Mains of St. Anthony, Bryan (Ellen) Killam of Menifee, California, Mishel (Barry) Ditto of Moses Lake, Washington; a brother Karl Gillett; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Guy, Vaughn, and Fred Gillett; and a sister Judy Mae Anderson.

The family extends a special thank you to Encompass Hospice, Jodie Young, and all who came to help care for Ruth.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, at the Ashton Christian Fellowship with Pastor Steve Davis officiating.
