Ruth Jensen Reynolds, 72, of Ashton, died peacefully surrounded by family on November 29, 2021. Ruth was born on April 12, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Owen Martin Jensen and Edith Viola DeMott.

Ruth graduated from North Fremont High School, Rick College, and Brigham Young University. She married her high school sweetheart, Dan Reynolds, in the Idaho Falls Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity.

Ruth was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various callings and shared her musical talents. Ruth taught at Ashton Elementary for seventeen years. She loved playing the violin, singing, laughing, making cowboy cookies for the grandkids, and spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her five children: Angela Reynolds, Steven J (Alecia) Reynolds, Colter Brett (Melanie) Reynolds, Shawna Ruth (Josh) Sutton, and Rachelle (Josh) Hansen as well as 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Gail (Sylvan) Seely, Gwen (Robert) Lee, and Linda (Brent) Eames. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Dan William Reynolds, her parents Owen Martin Jensen and Edith Viola DeMott, her sister Carol Ann (Ed) Clark, and her son Charles Jensen Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, at the Ashton 4th Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the church. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
