Obituary

Sara Jo Bunner Wass, of Blackfoot, passed away August 3, 2021, following a short illness.

She was born May 25, 1978, in Ashton, Idaho to Daniel Joseph Bunner and Rosanna Leslie Robbins Bunner. She was a prayer answered for both of her parents and an older sister Trichia, whom she thought was the greatest thing on earth.

Sara had a passion and love for all animals, but especially for horses. Her youth was mostly dedicated to this love and she was a very active member of 4H, along with barrel racing and showing horses. This passion lasted throughout her life.

As an adult she wore many coats, but found her match when she opened her own store - Ya Hippie, in Idaho Falls, which she owned and operated for a number of years.

Sara married Shane Wass on October 31, 2007. Four children were born to this holy union, Willow, Bailan, Swayne, and Joshua. She fell madly in love with all her babies and found contentment and fulfillment like never before being a mother and wife.

Sara and Shane mad their home outside of Blackfoot, Idaho. With horses, chickens, cats, and dogs, and endless space for youngsters to explore. And wonderland for her and her family.

Sara is survived by her husband, Shane; children, Willow, Bailan, Swayne, and Joshua; mother, Rosanne Robbins of California; sister, Trichia Eileen Gunter Zundel of Idaho Falls; aunt, Barbra Bloomfield of Utah; nieces, Tierra and Hope; nephews, Ronnie, Matthew, and Brenton; and numerous aunts and cousins.

Sara is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Joseph Bunner; grandparents, Harvey and Renea Robbins, and Joseph and Isabell Bunner; and uncles, Harvey Robbins and Dave Bunner.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, in Ashton. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to services.
