Scott Lynn Burch, 66, of Chubbuck, formerly of Ashton, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his home of natural causes. He was born August 26, 1946 to David and Phyllis Hess Burch. He has two sisters, Joyce (Michael) Metcalfe and Gloria (Glendon) Bahr.

He graduated from Minico High School. Shortly after he met and married Lynn Bateman. Together they had 4 children; the late Lisa Burch Palmer, Monica Burch, Dave (Suzelle) Burch and Sara (Jonathan) Wollin.

He first made his living working for the Union Pacific Railroad, after an injury resulting in a disability he went to work as a mechanic, eventually becoming a service department manager for a John Deere Dealership.

Scott was a very hardworking man. He loved his family and would do anything he could for them.

He is survived by his wife Lynn, children, David, Sara, and Monica as well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest daughter Lisa.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion.
