Obituary

Sherry LaDawn Abegglen, 64, of Sugar City, passed away April 30, 2021, of natural causes.

She was born July 24, 1956, in Ashton, Idaho to Delbert and Velma Brower Kirkham. She was raised, and attended schools, in Ashton.

She married Kim Abegglen on July 6, 1973, in Ashton at the LDS Chapel. They lived in St. Anthony for a number of years where they raised their four wonderful children, TeAnka, Mandy, Jade, and Brandon.

Sherry attended Beauty College in Rexburg where she earned her cosmetology license. She worked as a beautician, and owned and operated Vanity Salon in St. Anthony. She worked as a waitress at several area restaurants, and as a cook at the Silver Horseshoe. She also owned and operated her own restaurant for a time. She was a hard worker and worked in several other occupations, including as manager of Sally Beauty Supply, and at Albertson's. She was very versatile and could do anything she set her mind to.

She loved animals, especially horses and Dachshunds. Harley was her favorite dachshund. She enjoyed painting and drawing and was quite talented at both.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Kim; children, TeAnka (Jared Peebles) Abegglen, Mandy (Stephen) Tupper, Jade (Brandy) Abegglen, Brandon Abegglen; siblings, Kim Kirkham, Delbert Kirkham Jr., Brent (Theresa) Kirkham, Penny (Vern) Fullmer, Randy (Sabrina) Kirkham; 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Kirkham; and a grandson, Dallas Abegglen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, at the Wilford LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends and family Thursday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
