Obituary

Sidney Lavere Hansen, 55, of Parker, Idaho, passed away from a long struggle of multiple health problems, as a result of Type 1 Diabetes.

He was born February 2, 1966, in St. Anthony, Idaho. Sid was the youngest child of Darwin Reed and Karen Dora Kerswell Hansen. He had three sisters, Lorna K. (Rick) Abegglen, Carma Jean (Darrell) Abegglen, Sherrie Lynn (Jim) Munns; and a brother, Darin Reed (Teresa) Hansen. He grew up in Parker and attended Parker Elementary School. He then attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from South Fremont High School.

He married Dorinda Le Remington on April 15, 1989, in Rexburg, Idaho. Together they had four children; Kiera Le Hansen (Brandon Maupin), Brayden Hansen (Elizabeth Hansen), Ashlynn Loren Hansen (Tyson Barney), and Dallin John Hansen.

After graduation, Sid went to Rexburg and started working at a little restaurant below his apartment, T.J.'s. Later, after his marriage to Dori, he went to work for Larsen Farms for seven years, then at Walter's Produce for two years. Then he went to work for Nelson Ricks Creamery. He worked there for 21 years before they closed the plant.

Sid was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He loved hunting, snowmobiling with his boys, camping with family and friends, and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his children and four granddaughters, his mother, and siblings. He is preceded in death by his father, Darwin Reed Hansen and his father-in-law, Loren Bingham.

On March 4, 2021, Sid passed away peacefully in his mother's home - surrounded by his loved ones.
