Obituary

Susan Seeley LaFlamme, 63, of Chester, died December 16, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 23, 1958, in St. Anthony, Idaho to Morgan Elmo and Marilyn Brown Seeley. She attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from South Fremont High School. After high school she attended Ricks College where she graduated with an Associate Degree.

While working in Alaska she met Roland LaFlamme. They were married on June 30 1987, in Chester. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Maine where they resided until returning to Idaho a few years ago. Three children were born to this marriage.

Susan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings. She loved the people around her and spent a great deal of her time serving and helping them in many ways.

She worked as a secretary at Whitefield Elementary School in Whitefield, Maine. She enjoyed the children and the people that she worked with.

She like to garden, cook and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling with Roland.

She is survived by her husband, Roland of Chester; children, Andrew LaFlamme of Portland, Oregon, Jason (McKenna) LaFlamme of Tumwater, Washington, Rachel LaFlamme of Chester; her mother, Marilyn; siblings, Pamela (Charles) Johnson, Mark (Becky) Seeley, Alan (Holly) Seeley, DeAnn (Myron) Spencer, Wyn (Kathy) Seeley, Wade Seeley; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center with Bishop Chuck Hanson of the Chester Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Chester Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
